The Alcove is a development within the region of Poidor on Second Life, and is a relatively new development. Currently we are seeking initial occupancy for the 23 shop build. The shops are centered around four locations, The Courtyard, The Patio, The Plaza, and Outlook. Each area is privy to its own charm while maintaining true to the overall theme of the build. In upcoming posts each area will be highlighted and given a deep examination, allowing potential renters to examine the space for their needs.
Come by to check out the spaces and experience the artistry that comes from a custom build such as this. It is unlike anything you've seen and experienced inside Second Life, and be sure to stop at the existing shops and sample the wares of some of SL's finest creators.
Current shops are:
Manifest - Manfiest Shapes offers quality, realistic limited edition male avatar shapes that are well-suited to a variety of skins and tones. Manifest is located on The Courtyard, feel free to stop by.
Simone - Designs by Simone, located down on The Courtyard, Simone designs clothing for Style Starts Here, as well as Simone, her original brand. Enjoy Dramatic art deco inspired outfits that feel contemporary and are near-universally stunning and know you're clothed in outfits lauded by fashion writers in numerous magazines across SL. Be sure to stop by and partake.
Random Eyes - Natural and Unnatural Eyes for the discerning Human, Neko, Vampire, Demon, Fae, Fairy and whatever else an imagination can conjure. Zanner Igaly is an eye designer and builder in Second Life. Always in search of the perfect eyes for her Flickr photo shoots, Zanner gave up and started making her own. Over 200 eyeballs (and some very strange dreams) later, her brain is still outpacing her computer. She has never claimed to look at things normally.
Self Expressions - An authorized affiliate owned by Tiffany Gausman, Self Expressions is located near The Plaza, on the way to The Patio. Inside this little shop of wonders is a place to kick back and relax, and a number of gothic punk styles suitable for showing that side of yourself that your mom probably doesn't realize exists.
This is the preliminary list, and is expected to grow rapidly over the next few months as traffic increases. For you shop-owners who are looking for a place to start up, come on down, let's see what you've got.
